Teaching the Effects of Drugs and How to Free Oneself from Drug Addiction

"The Understanding and Overcoming Addiction Course has helped me recognise the reason behind the drug problem I had. It has given me hope that I can live a positive life without drugs and helped me get back in control of my life. The course has helped me understand what drugs really are and the effects drugs have on my body and mind and also what effects it has, my drug use, on other people around me. The course has put my life back on the way to happiness by learning me to organise a proper personal schedule doing things that are important to me and the people around me. This course and my tutor have given me courage. Self control and the confidence to resolve my drug problem and live an untroubled life in the future."

At least 75% of those coming into custody will have abused drugs 24 hours before arrival. The drug problem in prisons is huge. The handling of drug addiction, and education which helps to keep someone from using drugs in the future both go a long way in handling the problems of crime.

This course teaches the student exactly what drugs are and the effects they have on the body and mind. It explains how and why one becomes addicted to drugs in the first place and then details an exact regimen – which involves the use of vitamins and exercise – for freeing a person from the grip of addiction, and all without medical substitutes.

CRIMINON UK is now able to offer a unit 'Understanding & Overcoming Addiction' validated by the OCN South East Region. The unit is mapped to the National Open College Network (NOCN) qualification units 'Introduction to Drug Awareness' and 'Introduction to Alcohol Awareness' at Level 1.
